This next video was an April Fool's joke from IGN, bu if it was made into an actual game, I would buy it in a heart beat.

Nah. SSB is good enough w/o the gore. Hopefully nobody fell for this, 'cause it was a pretty poorly done video, with bad/cheesy sound effects, ie, the blood spattering.
Haha that ending surprised me.
It looks like they used a skin for the coin smash option to get that effect.
i thought we as a group were over the 'hurrr blood is fun' phase - it's not a novelty anymore, like when mortal kombat first came out.
Then again, we keep buying games where every female character has the profile of two basketballs glued to a lightpost (my apologies to yahtzee for that one), so maybe it doesn't really matter.

The gore doesn't really add anything to the game, so it seems pointless to really add it. Last year's April Fools from IGN was better =P.

Gore doesn't add much. The paying extra for a gore add-on is even worse. Glad it is an April fools joke.
I'd still buy it if it were like this... hopefully they'd let you take off the blood and shit...
@TrojanWade@xanga - was that the LoZ movie? If so, I thought that was hilarious and made me cry inside when I found out it was a joke. (If I'm thinking of the right thing)
@Sugarling@xanga - Definitely the LoZ movie. It had me faked out for so long because it was so well done, I was just like "there's no way this is fake because it looks so real!" I hear you on the crying a little bit on the inside thing.
Hmm not really gore makes it cheesy.
