Winter for the Wii
In case your wondering what Winter is, it's a survival horror for the Wii. 12 guys worked for six weeks on this game to show companies so they could try and get it published, but no companies were interested in publishing this game because they think would not sell well on a console like the Wii.
The story revolves around an unnatural snowstorm that has settled over a small town in the Midwest, effectively closing it off from the outside world. The main character, Mia, begins the game inside a wrecked ambulance with no recollection of how she got there. As she treks off towards the small town, she starts to see signs of something monstrous that is traveling with the storm.
Here's a few pictures of the game:

As of right now Winter isn't coming out. The game isn't fully finshed because no one will publish it, but if you want Winter on the Wii you can sign the petition here: http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?wiinter
I know petitions don't always work, but it doesn't hurt to try. So if you want the game sign the petition to help get Winter on the Wii.
Would you buy a game like this for the Wii?

Not enough info. Don't know anything about the gameplay or what innovative things they may be trying to do with the Wii. Just knowing the story, why not just make it for 360 or any other system?
I don't blame the publishers. This is clearly a title with a core gamer target audience. Games that target core gamers just don't sell on the Wii. Look at games like De Blob and Zack & Wiki. Great games with great gameplay, but they just don't get the sales that they should. The Wii's business model is very different from most systems we've encountered. Good reviews and good games don't necessarily sell for the Wii...but name recognition does.
Yeah, I signed the petition. The concept is really interesting and the Wii really needs more mature games. I hope that if Madworld sells well Sega will keep on releasing mature games for Wii and then they might pick this one up.
I'm signing it. The Wii needs to get better games than Party Babies. *shudders.
ah tentacle monster!
this is japanese, right?
"target audience" is bull. PS3/360 owners just got RE5. Wii owners did not, so I'd definitely play this to satisfy my survival-horror craving (not that I'm calling RE5 "survival horror" anymore). Besides, the Wii is the system that anyone can play, including people who aren't 12 or 50+. Or are we not a part of the "blue ocean?"
