  • Super Pratt Bros.™

So, it was my birthday, and after watching a horrible football game, we went over to my brother's for some Nintendo.

Four players.  Me.  My brother.  Two other guys.

He blew the dust off of an old game (Skate or Die for the NES).  Plugged it in.  Started it up.  Gave us all crazy usernames.  He was Bulldog.  I was Rugged.  And although there were four of us in there, in reality, it was simply a matchup between me and my brother.  Just like old times, all the way back to Cain and Abel.

The game had four minigames.  (Well, five actually, but we never played #5).  He'd been bragging to me about his mad skillz in minigame #1, "Freestyle", racking up scores that I never would've believed ten years earlier, when I played that game all the time.

But, thanks to him falling on his face several times, I was able to take minigame #1, 10145-9052.

Minigame #2.  A race down the alley, called "Downhill Jam".  The fact that I won the Freestyle gave me pole position, and I turned it into another W, sirens blaring.  Another solid win, Rugged 10854, Bulldog 9752.

Minigame #3.  "Downhill Race"  Two paths, really.  Go left for what we called the "Fastest 20 seconds."  My brother was the master of that.  Or, go right.  Precision jumping.  FTW, or WTF.  Success or failure was in my fingers...jump...jump...jump...all worth it to see my brother's reaction.  14229-9229, Rugged again.

I'd swept him and the other two guests in three straight minigames.  The final contest awaited.

Minigame #4.  The fighting game.  "Pool Joust" No score, just a winner and a loser.  My brother and I beat the other two guys at his place, setting up the final.  I wondered...could I pull the sweep.  Could I put that pixelated character on his butt one more time.  Could I avoid his swings, retrieve the weapon, and throw him to the ground?

    *POW*

A digital laugh.  One character emerged victorious.  The other, sprawled below, in defeat.

I had completed the sweep.  Pwn'd all challengers.

What is your greatest moment of pwning someone?
