Are We Playing Too Much Video Games?
The chart below says it all. If kids 10-26 are playing twice a day with the average session lasting around 74 minutes, that is a lot of time spent in front of a console just chillin'. In fact, that is a whopping 37.5 days a year!
Do kids and young adults game too much?

Too much? wtf is too much?
What the hell is life? Life is you living... if you're not enjoying life while you have it.. whats it worth living for?
Game all you want.. be happy with your life... just keep your shit in check and keep other parts of your life healthy too.
I don't play too much (2-3 days/week, if that), but the average teen and young adult, probably.
and if I'm out going to bars, or concerts, or sporting events, or hanging with friends for that time, too, am I doing to much of that? Is it really wasting time if I'm enjoying it?
If you're only playing video games without doing anything else... then I guess it's just too much.
maybe, who knows. not enough studies to make an actual claim. but those numbers are a bit scary. like everything else, always in moderation.
I say if I'm playing games WHILE I should be doing something else, say, writing an essay or whatever, then it becomes an issue.
Impossible.
You can NEVER game too much.
There is no such thing as too much gaming.
I think the correct grammar would be "are we playing too many video games"...
Considering the grammar error in the title, I would say yes, we are playing too many video games.
There was actually an episode of Dr. Phil on the other day that talked about people who were addicted to video games. The people they talked to spent time playing games instead of getting jobs, taking care of their families, etc. I got a little nervous because I thought my parents might decide to limit my video game playing time, but they said as long as it does not interfere with your life and job then it's fine. I agree with them. And I'm glad they're not going to restrict my game time :)
Shouldn't that be "Are We Playing Too Many Video Games?"
"Much games" is wrong.
I'm not playing video games too much, but I do enjoy it. As long as your gaming isn't interfering with what you need to be doing, who cares?
Nope... the world doesn't play enough!
No, they need to play Wii more often, though, because the hex-boxed and the gaystation three's are for retarded gay babies who are lame
good point...I guess...@BenevolentOne@xanga -Â
maybe you are correct...too many could however refer to the amount of different games we choose to play rather than the time spent...I should have made that clearer in the heading!!! Carumba!@TiRocKiinPiinK@xanga -Â

well, this article is not about how many video games are being played. it's about how much time is spent playing them. i could spend just as much time playing one video game as someone else could spend playing several. but if it must be changed, it should probably be "are we playing video games too much?"
@Alqez@xanga - i was joking, although it IS wrong...
i liked this article, i'm just saying. sorry!
@Alqez@xanga - Oh snap! I didn't realize people had already commented on that. My bad.
74 Minutes would be awesome for my boyfriend, who sits in front of the TV playing video games for 6-10 hours every single day.
Without adding PC, that's a lot of time unaccounted for. O:
As a graphic designer who's going INTO gaming design, I don't think too much is too much. Plus, I'm too much of a video game enthusiast to think that too much is the same as the norm's 'too much.' So no.
But in actuality, it probably is. Video games, TV, computers, and the like all contribute to the growing rate of obesity in America. If a person can juggle tons of video games with an otherwise healthy lifestyle, then it's not. (Like for me, I go to school, I exercise, I hang with my friends, but I still somehow get 4o+ hrs of game time in a week. Hahaha.)
Are we forgetting that "much" refers to singular nouns?
YUP.
thanks...I should know how to phrase these things...I write everyday!!!@Alqez@xanga -Â
