More Gore for Mortal Kombat 9

According to this report and Ed Boon's Tweets, the upcoming next installment in the Mortal Kombat series should be a Mature release, a return to violent form for the franchise. For those of you who've been shedding blood since the days of the original, you should have some particularly sweet Fatalities to count on.
I've always much preferred the Street Fighter series to Mortal Kombat. Still, I'd rather have a full Mature than a toned-down T for Teen game. Mortal Kombat should not have to apologize for its violence!

Why not go back to it's roots?
I just hope they make the game play better. I was actually quite bored with Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe. Something about the fighting engine... I did like the create-a-character mode in MK: Armageddon. I hope they can expand on that---make it better.

I was thrown off when Mortal Kombat made its dedicated foray into 3d.
The last time I remember enjoying the games was Mortal Kombat 64, and
even then it wasn't as fun for me as Ultimate MK3
and Trilogy.

Mortal Kombat should go back to being Mortal Kombat instead of distracting us with 14719841598172511427981 mini-games. Maybe get better mo-cap while they're at it. Fatalities are good and all, but there needs to be y'know, actual gameplay to go along with it

Mortal Kombat 9? Man, they're at 9 already? I guess I didn't keep up with the franchise after the 4th.

I think they should do what Street Fighter did and make Mortal Kombat HD and make it a 2D game with all the gore in HD.

I haven't been a total fan of the 3-D MK games ... I kinda feel like they were trying to hard to be "epic" or something.
