A HardestLevelian Tribute to Michael Jackson
It is my firm belief that Michael Jackson was a space alien. By the end of his/her/its career and life, he/she/it truly was one strange creature. But, man, in Michael Jackson's prime, the dude could entertain. At HardestLevel, we salute his achievements, notably Thriller, a crotch-grabbingly good album.
We also salute a game that, depending on your viewpoint, is either awesome or awesomely bad. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker was released in 1990, and I could try to explain it, but I just don't think I'd be doing it justice. Included is gameplay footage of this weird and wonderful triumph in electronics:
Did you ever play Michael Jackson's Moonwalker? What's your take on this game?

What the...?! You frickin' kill people with fickin' pixie dust??
Which is the bigger step for mankind - Neil Armstrong's moon walk or Michael Jackson's moonwalk?
A M.J game? didn't even know one was made.
OMG that is awesomely bad. Why have I never seen this game before!
I probably rented this way back when. Man, that must've been a waste of a weekend. Good use of the Genesis' awful soundchip though!
people who save children are typically doing so to satisfy their pedophilia perversion ?
See the details on the little girl saying Michael? That was like WTF! Killing bad guys by dancing and throwing his hat while he just say hi to the kids... that's plain damn weird...
here's some more!

i remember that game and it's weird how he saves the little children by touching them.
I played a Michael Jackson game in an arcade a long time ago that was very similar to this game. It was 3P where each MJ was a different suit color.
Awesomely bad.
this game was sooo cheezy, yet i remember playing it and being all happy and stuff when ever the rainbow superpower thing happened. very repetitious.
Robot Michael for the fucking win.
Moonwalker was a sub par game with great music. Finding kids stopped being interesting after a while, and became rage inducing when you couldn't find that one little bastard that'd finally clear the stage. Boss battles were, and still are non existant. And most stages featured ONE type of enemy.
Personally, I think his best video game appearance has to be in Splatterhouse. :D
Don't forget Space Michael in Space Channel 5 and Space Channel 5: Part Two.
