Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
I'm not one to usually get pumped over a video game before it comes out, but every time I read something about this one I get more and more excited.
If for some ungodly reason you haven't heard, it's an interquel taking place between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, focusing on Roxas' role in Organization XIII. It features single AND (brace yourself) multiplayer modes. In 3D - no chibi-looking, shrunken down versions of the characters. Oh, and it's for DS. Hallelujah.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days - coming out September 29th. I hope I'm not the only one looking forward to seeing Axel again. We even get to play as him this time.Honey, you can burn me any day. ;)
Am I the only one psyched about this?

Woo! I heard about this a long time ago, but it was basically just the name, nothing else was known about it!
I'm stoked! After beating KH2, I've felt like there was a void in my heart that needed to be filled by another one of their games!
And now it's coming.
I've already played the Japanese version on my friend's DS, and the 358/2 game play is very similar to that of Kingdom Hearts II. The "Attack," "Magic," and "Item" icons are still there and much of the combat is the same too. That's pretty impressive, considering it's for the DS. I would have thought the characters wouldn't be 3D, but they are.
And I'm not going to lie, I think I may have to get myself a DS just so that I can play this game. It looks pretty incredible!!

No, this is what makes Kingdom Hearts so annoying. Why can't they just stick to 1, 2, 3, 4, etc without having to add all this random crap and over complicate what WAS a good story? Instead they have to makes loads of random sequels on various platforms so that, unless you have every console known to man, you miss out on key plot elements. They need to stop adding hundreds of random twists and stories and just stick the the one that made their game so popular.

and the KH games just arent too complicated =/ not to me anyway.

Haha, had to get that outta my system =] Suffice to say, I'm stoked for the game to come out. I've been dying for new Kingdom Hearts material. When exactly is the third game going to be released?

I adore Kingdom Hearts, but they are completly over complicating everything with these interquels!

@BoxesOfRoxes@xanga - Eh, I really like that they're explaining Organization XIII in greater detail. They've only had games for PS2, Gameboy Advance (you can play that game on a DS Lite), and now this new game on the DS. Really that isn't very many. It's still a good story, they're just adding details to the unexplained.
@XXLiveXLoveXX@xanga - KH3 so far is just a rumor, as far as I know. "Days" is going to be released September 29th though, so that's something to look forward to. :)

I thought that Chain of Memories was the 'in between game'... although that focused mostly on Sora, if I recall properly.

I am SOOOOOO excited for this game. I'm a really big Kingdom Hearts fan. I love how the gameplay would be how it is on the PS2 versions. "Chain of Memories" wasn't as entertaining (I bought both GBA and PS2 versions)..and just very disappointing. I'm pretty sure "Birth By Sleep" on the PSP would also be a big hit..and I've seen the version on the mobile phone too. I'm wondering about KH3 though..PS2 or PS3?
I get pretty psyched about all KH games but it disappoints me that they're making prequels, sequels, interquels or any other -quels for multiple gaming platforms. I mean, I don't see the purpose in making KH 358/2 days at all if it's only going to be for the Nintendo DS. If they're going to make any kind of KH game it should be available for all or most platforms.
@KzNetty@xanga - Honestly, I'm betting KH3 will be on PS3 because they think they'll get more money that way. I want them to get it out on PS2 because I don't want to pay the ungodly price for a PS3, but I'm sure they won't release it for PS2, so I'll end up spending the money anyway. :)
I didn't like KH2 tbh. I absolutely LOVED the first one, and was completely stoked when the second one came out... but as I was going through the levels I realized I was watching cut-scenes more so than actually playing.
I am still very excited about the 3rd one, I won't be able to get one for DS because mine was stolen, but I just hope it has less videos and more gameplay :]
