In the case of Mario vs. Luigi, who would reign supreme in the hearts of HardestLevelers? Would it be Mario, the star of his franchise and international icon? Or would it be Luigi, perennial also-ran and sidekick? The votes have been tallied, and here are the results. In somewhat of an upset, the underdog takes it!
Luigi wins our first poll, and by a pretty significant amount! The final tallies:

Apparently, not everyone, LauraG! From Super Mario Bros. 2, there was a definite disparity in jumping between brothers; Luigi was the highest leaper in all the land. In Super Mario Galaxy, they gave him the speed edge too. I'm thinking this stood out in a lot of people's minds as a factor in their vote.

And, um, I guess there's that too. Perhaps Luigi is superior in looking out for his woman. Although if anything, I feel like Daisy would be the one keeping a tight leash on Luigi. She might wear a dress, but I imagine she wears the pants in that relationship.

This, I think, is probably the main reason Luigi fared so well. It's hard not to feel for Luigi, whom Nintendo decided to make suck at sports compared to Mario and who hasn't yet had a great adventure unto himself. C'mon, Luigi's Mansion? An all-too-short game that teaches kids the joys of vacuuming? Please, Nintendo, spare us your parental propaganda and give Luigi his place in the sun!

It seems like Luigi won the vote purely due to him being the, "Different," one. That kinda sucks.
Does nobody remember Luigi essentially shitting himself all the way through Luigi's Mansion? Dude was shitting himself the whole way through... that one mansion.

Mario is still cool . . . But I'll admit that he is over-rated and to the fact that Luigi needs another video game that doesn't involve him following his brother around OR chasing boos and other ghosts.

green is my favorite color, luigi is loyal even though mario's main focus is to chase some princess, he jumps higher, is just as fast as mario and seems to be a little more of a dork than mario. I love him <3
