The Morality of Perverted Pillowcases

It's like a Mario Party, except with none of the Mario and all of the Party!
Ever wanted to sleep with a video game character? Well, you can! Dakimakura, full-body pillows with prints of game and anime characters, has been a trend for quite a while among Japanese nerddom. Microsoft and Tecmo were so savvy to this that a Kasumi-themed special edition bundle of the Xbox and Dead or Alive Online came with a bonus pillowcase of the lovable female lead.
But it doesn't end there...
A variety of fictional females, from Street Fighter's Cammy, to Persona's Elizabeth, to Blazblue's Noel, have already been reimagined as pillowcases. As long as she's cutesy, no character is exempt from being immortalized in Dutch wife format! But it's not just pervy guys who like to have the slumber party all to themselves. Here's some targeted to female pervs, one with Mother 3's Lucas and (un)Masked "Man" (*sneer*), plus a double-sided one of Vocaloid mascot Kaito.
Many online specialty stores are selling these pillowcases, and some places even offer to do custom jobs. Do you think this is weird? Awesome? Disgusting? Would you buy a dakimakura?

If I'm going perv I'd skip the pillow case and go all out spend a couple grand to get a real doll version.

I think it's a little strange and I can't believe how ridiculously expensive they are. It takes a lonely man to drop that kind of cash for a life size pillow with a picture of some half naked anime/game character on it.
But that Noel one is pretty hot. XD

I don't see the perverseness of such a thing unless the buyer lusts over it.
@sexybish666@xanga - just checked the site it's closer to six thousand but I didn't see the anime doll like they had a few years back although elf ears are an option.
o________o well if it was cheap, i'd probably buy one for kicks. but.. no. too expensive.
@KevtheMoron@xanga - Last time I checked the site was years ago, and I think it was around 8k back then. I remember they had images of past dolls customers had ordered. One guy ordered a real doll that looked like freakin' Satan. I'm sure you can customize an anime doll... it'll just cost a ton. Damn you for making me check the site again, haha.

Ugh... being a huge nerd such as myself, I know that some of the voice actresses and MOST of the actual artists who create these characters are gross as FUCK, and THAT image would be burned into my head if I were to even entertain the idea of buying one of these for... *ahem* the assumed purposes.

Haha, I'd buy one for my friend as a joke since she hasn't had a boyfriend in like a year, if it were cheap. Nevermind, cartoons aren't sexy. I think I'm gonna get her an Edward pillow.
i think it's just plain weird and a sign of extreme obsession. i mean, do you really need a pillowcase of a girl from a videogame? there are 3 billion other womyn out there in the world! GO FIND ONE!!!!
