John Flamsteed Way, Griffon Way, Merlin Way, Lara Croft Way, Sorocold Way, Steve Bloomer Way, Eagle Way and Mercian Way. What do all these have in common? They're all on the shortlist to
become the name of a new street in the UK city of Derby.
With luck, the street won't be as treacherous as this.
The town of Derby received over 100 ideas for the new street's name in July, and voting goes until January. The voting was online on the town's
website, but seems to have been removed (likely from a wave of votes for Lara Croft).
Why Lara Croft Way for the city of Derby? The studio that created the original Tomb Raider game was based in Derby until 2006. Maybe someday we'll have Azeroth Road or Zerg Avenue where Blizzard's offices are. (I would so move to Zerg Ave. My cousin, however, would happily settle for Lara Croft Way.)

There's a street name called Bob-O-Link in the town I live in.
It always makes me think of some sort of game where instead of bobbing for apples, you'd bob for Link.... I don't know, but it's a funny picture in my head.
